Every year, May brings one of the most important events of Mallorcan wine: Wine Days, hosted by DO Binissalem, one of Mallorca’s two Denominations of Origin (the Spanish equivalent of Appelations of Origin), responsible for some of the best wine on the island—and in the world. The festival features a week of events lasting from May 12-21, 2023, but the main event is the fiesta, a fair with wine tasting from the participating bodegas, food and music, on Friday, May 12, from 6:30 to 10:30 pm. It’s conveniently located in the Sant Francesc monestary in Palma.

Location in Cloister Sant Francesc
Unlike a lot of wine events in Mallorca, Wine Days is easy to get to because it’s located in the heart of the Palma Old Town next to the Basílica de Sant Francesc and some of our favorite hotels like Hotel Can Cera and Sant Francesc Hotel Singular.
If you do have trouble finding the monestary, I recommend orienting yourself from Plaça de Palma. Head southeast down Plaça de Santa Eulàlia until you reach a corner made by Bar Tony and La Bombonera. Here you’ll see a small alleyway, Carrer de Sant Francesc. This will take you to the Basilica and event.
